The Perfectionism

self-portrait

Norman Rockwell has always inspiring through many aspects. The genius way of planning the entire layout and setting, His painting always seems to me that has so many organizing and setting up but yet it seems perfectly natural. He once said “Maybe as I grew up and found the world wasn’t the perfect place I had thought it to be, I unconsciously decided that if it wasn’t an ideal world, it should be, and so painted only the ideal aspects of it.”

One of his most famous paintings during World War II, Rockwell painted the Four Freedoms series, which was completed in seven months and resulted in him losing 15 pounds. The series was inspired by a speech by Franklin D. Roosevelt, in which he described four principles for universal rights: Freedom from Want, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship and Freedom from Fear.
